Human consciousness is just about the last surviving mystery. A mystery is a phenomenon that people don't know how to think about—yet. The Impact of Scientific Ignorance on Society
As a society, we walk a tightrope between limbo and extinction.
We’re on a threshold of survival, in a society threatened as never
before to find the way, with less and less margin for error. The

Scientific Ignorance is Dangerous
I don't know to what extent ignorance of science and mathematics contributed to the decline of ancient Athens, but I know that the consequences of scientific illiteracy are far more dangerous in our time than in any that has come before.
